About Purely Recipes
The world's food, made easy for anyone, from real ingredients. What the site is, who writes it, and where the photos come from.
Purely Recipes is the world's food, made easy for anyone, from real ingredients. Each dish comes with the story of where it comes from, and a method you can cook tonight.
What's here
- Recipes, written step by step, with times and serves on every page.
- Ingredients: what each one is, where it comes from, how to buy and store it, and what to cook with it.
- Techniques: the skills behind the recipes, from knife work to the wok.
- Cuisines, collections and guides to find your way around.
From Tia's kitchen
Boxes marked "From Tia's kitchen" hold Tia's own stories about cooking a dish. Nothing else on the site claims to be a personal story.
What you won't find
- No star ratings or reviews we made up. When cooks can say "I cooked this", their posts will be real.
- No health claims. We write about food, not medicine.
Photos
- Styled images. The tall picture at the top of each recipe, and the close-up and ingredients shots further down, are images we generate in one house style. Each carries the credit "Styled image: Purely Recipes".
- Stock photos come from Pixabay under the Pixabay Content Licence. Every one names its photographer and links to the original.
Questions
Can I print a recipe?
Yes. Press Print recipe on the recipe card and only the card prints: ingredients, method and notes.
Where do my saved recipes go?
Save keeps the recipe in this browser on this device. Nothing goes to us. Clear your browser data and the list goes with it.
Do I need an account?
No. Every page is free to read, with no sign-up. Accounts come with "I cooked this", and the privacy page will say what they store before they go live.
Do you track me?
No analytics, no ads, no cookies. The privacy page lists everything that does leave your browser.
Can I share a recipe?
Share a link, cook from it, print it. Please don't republish the page itself; the terms say more.
